BE AWARE OF THE RRSP CONTRIBUTION DEADLINE
The RRSP deadline for contributing for the 2019 tax-filing year is Monday March 2, 2020 for personal income tax filing. Here are some quick questions your advisor may ask you for in preparation for this RRSP season:
- May I see your last Notice of Assessment? (this will reveal your RRSP contribution room) You can view your RRSP limit, on the CRA’s My Account service and pull your last Notice of Assessment
- Have you maximized your TFSA?
- Does your mortgage renew this year? (If so, refinancing may result in lower payments and more money to save)
